PURPOSE: To provide all entry level Marines in the Military Occupational Specialty 1316 - Welders with the basic techniques and knowledge needed to effectively perform required tasks as set out by NAVMC 3500.12. The initial phase of this course is trained alongside the Army, as a consolidated Inter-service Training Review Organization (ITRO) phase.
